A Little Bit About Vicki
Vicki is a Sturgis Hall of Fame Inductee and a Registered Nurse. She authored “A Crash Course for the Motorcyclist” in 1996 and established the non-profit organization Accident Scene Management (ASM) in order to reduce injuries and fatalities to motorcyclists through First Response training. The organization has grown to become the Leading Motorcycle Trauma Training Organization in the World. She acts as Director of ASM yet today. Vicki had been an RN since 1984 but became an EMT in 1999 to better connect ASM Bystander training to the EMS. She worked for over 25 years in a variety of settings throughout the hospital from Critical Care to the Operating Room. She spent 8 years working as a perioperative educator for Waukesha Memorial Hospital Department of Surgery. She was honored as Nurse of the Year in 2007. Vicki also teaches Stop The Bleed and CPR, Defibrillators, and First Aid through the American Heart Association. She has been riding her own motorcycle since 1987 and is a proud member of the Iron Butt Association.
